Explore the Art of Dying Fiber Naturally
Have you ever seen beautiful colorful braids of fiber and wonder how it’s done? You’ve heard about chemicals, respirators, and specialty items needed to dye fiber, but there is another way! In this class you will be shown how to make your own colorful braids safely at home using readily available food grade products.
There will also be Open Spin all day, so being your wheel or spindle and join us!
DATE: Saturday, August 16
TIME : 10 am – 4 pm, rain or shine!
Bring your lunch, beverages, wheel or spindle, and a chair.
ABOUT THE CLASS
Proficiency Level: Open to all
Materials: Your kit will include a cookie sheet, 2 squirt bottles, four 2-ounce braids of super wash wool to dye. There will be a variety of dyes on hand for you to try.
Materials Fee: $5 for kit
