Wool Days at the Wentworth House: Handcarding
June 14 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Handcarding Basics with Donna Kay
Curious about hand cards? What the heck are rolags? Long draw? Donna Kay, owner of Tree of Life Designs, will take out the mystery with her workshop. Come spin in the morning, have lunch, and enjoy the day with other fiber enthusiasts.
Discover how versatile handcards can be for preparing fiber for spinning. Prepare “rolags”, “cigars” and “batts” to spin using your chosen drafting method. Donna will also demonstrate a traditional long draw (woolen draft) from a rolag. You will have your choice of a few different wools, do some blending and work on technique.
